Every Monday we have a “Get Fit” club after school, offering places to all children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6. Qualified coaches from LEAP GYMNASTICS, who run weekly lessons in school time, will be running the After School Club.
The idea of this club is to get children moving more with activities such as circuit training, dance, multi skills etc. Guidelines from the Department of Health and Human Services say that children and adolescents age 6 and older need at least one hour per day of physical activity. Regular exercise has many benefits for children. It can help them:
The club will take place from 3:00 - 4:00pm on a weekly basis until the end of the Autumn Term. Children taking part can wear their P.E. kit or own gym clothes for the class. There is no cost to parents. Places are limited are given on a first come first served basis.
If your child would like to take part, please complete a permission slip from a letter sent home with the children, and return it to school as soon as possible. Your child will not be allowed to stay for the club without this.
