Autumn Term

Our Term Overviewcool

In literacy we will be reading WW1 novel ' Coming Home by Jim Eldridge'. We will be focusing on a variety of writing outcomes including Poetry, informal letter writing, newspaper articles and character descriptions. In maths, we will be focusing on place value 1,000,000 and roman numerals. In History, we will be focusing on WW1 in connection with our literacy focus. Geography this term is all about climates around the world. Science will be focused on forces and the way in which our world moves. PE will be on Wednesday's and we will be focusing on invasion skills in football. 

 

In music we are covering blues and have some wonderful class performances planned. We are also very fortunate to be learning flute this year and have a lovely music teacher provide 1 hour sessions to the whole class each week. 

Art this term is all about sketching and futuristic art. We will be exploring the effects of imagery and the use of propaganda in art.
