Inclusion

Year 1

For World Religion Day in Year 1, we celebrated Hinduism. We looked at different beliefs within the Hindu faith and compared this to our own religion. We discussed how their God is different to ours and they have many different representations of him. We looked at the worship ceremony of 'Puja' and different items you would find on a 'Puja Tray' that is used during the worship. The children made their own incense stick holder that could go on their own Puja tray, we designed this to look like a flower as Hindus' offer flowers to their Gods, we then went outside to smell our own incense stick and make rangoli patterns with chalk on the playground.
