Operation Encompass

What is Operation Encompass? 

Operation encompass is a police and education early intervention safeguarding partnership enabling support for children and young people who are experiencing domestic abuse. 

 

Why is it important?

The children are at the forefront of all we do and their wellbeing and safety is our priority. Operation Encompass allows us to ensure our children are well supported when they return to school following an incident. 

 

The voice of the child

At Our Lady Queen of Peace every child has a voice and it is important that the voice of the child is heard. Their voice should influence the decisions that are made to enable their needs to be fully met.

Support

Following an incident of Domestic abuse children will be well supported in school. They can talk to a trusted adult if needed and we have a safe space in our Hub, where children can reflect or simply take time for themselves to chill out.
