    Dear Parent / Carer,

As the admission authority for Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Primary School, the Governing Body wish to consult with you on our admission arrangements for 2027/28.   This is because you may have an interest in the proposed admissions.

Consultation must last for a minimum of 6 weeks and must take place between 1 October and 31 January in the determination year, therefore the consultation period for this policy is from 13th October to 23rd November 2025.

We invite you to consider the policy which can be found on the school website at: https://www.ourladyqueenofpeaceprimary.co.uk/admissions/

Any comments you may have can be sent to the following email HBarton.Admissions@ourladyqueenofpeaceprimary.co.uk or directly to the school in an envelope marked Admissions Policy Consultation.

If you would prefer a printed copy or require any further information please do not hesitate to contact us at school.

    Thank you

  • Hello Yellow Day

    Wed 01 Oct 2025

Our school will be taking part in Hello Yellow on Friday 10th October (World Mental Health Day) to raise awareness and funds for YoungMinds, the UK’s leading charity for young people’s mental health.

The number of young people in need of mental health support is growing faster than ever, and this is why HELLO YELLOW matters more than ever.  We’re taking this opportunity as a school community to come together and show our pupils we are with them and that they’re never alone with their mental health.

We will be taking part by wearing something YELLOW on the day.  Don’t worry if your child hasn’t got anything that colour – it will be a non-uniform day.

We ask if parents and carers could please consider making a donation to YoungMinds via our fundraising page for Hello Yellow HERE

Most importantly, we want to share the resources which YoungMinds offer to support parents and carers if you ever need help and advice to support your children. This includes:

    • online resources https://www.youngminds.org.uk/parent/

    • a phone line, open 9.30am-4pm (0808 802 5544)

    • an online chat for parents and carers to speak to trained professionals if you’re concerned about your children’s mental health https://www.youngminds.org.uk/parents-helpline/

Together we can help young people feel seen, supported and never alone.

    Thank you

Through Christ, we live, love and learn
